Fake Pokemon cards are everywhere. They show up on Amazon, at flea markets, in bulk lots on eBay, and sometimes even mixed into collections people sell locally. If you are spending money on cards, you need to know how to spot a fake. Pick up a real Pokemon card and a suspect card. Real cards have a specific weight and stiffness to them. They are printed on high-quality card stock with a distinct texture. Fakes often feel thinner, flimsier, or have a waxy/glossy coating that real cards do not. If you handle real cards regularly, fakes will feel wrong immediately.
